HKIT is the HK-based independent professional membership association for practising translators and interpreters.
As well as providing a networking forum, we represent our members’ interests in Hong Kong and internationally by promoting continuing professional development, quality standards and awareness of the profession among government agencies and the wider community.

To act as the voice of translators, interpreters and terminologists and make that voice heard in the relevant public and political arenas.
The HKIT is led by the Council which consists of a chairman and several members representing various sectors of the industry.
HKIT seeks to promote the highest standards in the profession and so HKIT members are expected to adhere to high levels of professional standards.
